Terms & Conditions of Car Rental
Reservations
The reservation concerns a vehicle category and not a specific model or brand. If the selected vehicle is not available, an alternative vehicle of equal or higher category is provided. In case of damage or accident, replacement is made with a vehicle of the same category, unless the responsibility lies with the renter due to negligence or violation of traffic rules.
Driver
The driver must be at least 23 years old and hold a valid driver’s license for at least 1 year. Only the persons listed in the rental agreement have the right to drive.
Driver’s License
A valid driver’s license with at least one year of experience is required. For drivers outside the EU, an international driver’s license is mandatory, accompanied by their national license.
Payment Methods
The renter must have a credit card in their name, regardless of the payment method. The total rental amount is paid before the vehicle is picked up.
Fines – Penalties
The renter bears exclusive responsibility for any violations of the Highway Code (K.O.K.) and the corresponding fines. Additionally, there is a €30 charge for administrative expenses.
Charges
The basic rental price includes:
- Unlimited kilometers
- 24-hour roadside assistance
- Third-party insurance (C.D.W.)
- All taxes and fees (VAT included)
Cancellations
Cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup via email. In this case, a full refund is made. For cancellations within less than 48 hours, no refund is provided.
Changes to the Reservation
Modifications can be made via email at least 24 hours before pickup. Changes upon pickup are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
Pickups & Returns
- Pickup/delivery outside working hours: €25
- Pickup/delivery at the airport: €20 within working hours, €25 outside working hours
- Pickup/delivery at the port: €15 within working hours, €25 outside working hours
- The vehicle is held for 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time
Vehicle Return
The vehicle must be returned within the company’s operating hours. If returned earlier, no refund is given. A delay of more than 90 minutes incurs a charge for an additional rental day.
Fuel Policy
The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at pickup (at least ¼ of the tank). Otherwise, the difference is charged to the renter.

Accident
In case of an accident, the renter is obliged to immediately notify the company, the police, and the insurance company. If the renter leaves the accident scene without reporting the incident, the insurance does not cover the damages.
Insurance & Roadside Assistance
- The insurance covers damages to third parties.
- CDW: Damages exceeding a specified amount (€500-€1500, depending on the category) are covered.
- Damages to tires, the underside of the vehicle, and loss of personal items are not covered.
- Insurance coverage is void in cases of negligence (driving under the influence of alcohol, prohibited roads, loss of keys, etc.).
- In case of mechanical failure, a replacement vehicle is provided.
Other Terms
- The vehicle is prohibited from leaving Astypalaia.
- Pets and smoking are not allowed.
- Non-compliance incurs a biological cleaning charge.
- Transporting hazardous materials or using the vehicle for illegal purposes is prohibited.
- The company is not responsible for the loss of personal items.
- The maximum rental duration is 30 days.
